Type has two AI modes to help you write: Speed and Power.
In Speed mode, Type's AI will leverage lightning-fast AI models. Today, these include OpenAI's GPT-3.5 Turbo and Anthropic's Claude Instant. Speed mode responds almost instantly, but the output quality can be lower.
In Power mode, Type's AI will leverage the most advanced AI models. Today, these include OpenAI's GPT-4 and Anthropic's Claude V2. Power mode is slower to generate responses, but the output quality is usually higher and context windows tend to be larger.
You can tap the lightning bolt icon in a document to toggle between Speed and Power mode.
When you want to stay in flow with snappy AI responses, we recommend using Speed mode. When quality is everything or you need to give Type's AI complicated instructions, we recommend enabling Power mode.
About Type: Type is an AI-powered document editor that helps you write more, better, faster. Please note: Power mode is only available in a paid plan.
